Sigala Lighting Architects is an architectural lighting studio based in Athens that creates the ideal lighting environment for living spaces, culture and working environments around the world.

Hara Sigala is a Greek lighting architect and founder of the design studio. She has over a decade of experience in public, commercial, cultural and private lighting projects.

She has enjoyed the challenge of managing projects from inception to completion in numerous buildings and landscapes across Greece, Cyprus, United Arab Emirates and worldwide. She is passionate about merging the outcomes of her ongoing research with her professional work to enhance architecture, provide visual comfort and add value to solutions.

In addition to managing the studio, Hara has taught architectural lighting through her position as adjunct Professor on the Lighting Design MA course at the School of Applied Arts, Hellenic Open University, since 2014. She has participated in writing academic lighting design books through her position as a reviewer and is engaged in ongoing research through publications and supervising dissertations with a focus on lighting, history, architecture and wellbeing. She has engaged in lighting conferences and seminars as an author, tutor and organiser.

Hara hods a graduation degree from NTUA Department of Architecture and a masters degree in Lighting Design from University College London. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and a founder member of the Hellenic Lighting Association.
